holidays several times annually, he books his MOBDOM's passage by train as described to a hill top Hive on the White Cliffs, there he can conduct his recreational activities this time, his own MOBDOM can link exclusively to his girlfriend's and the MOBDOM he studied in begins its transition to the
next stage of his life.
Eventually, Alexi capitulates and his MOBDOM linked to his girlfriend's and then his children's  ecomes the focal point of the family life, he has swapped out his Study pod for an enlarged recreational area where he can concentrate on his children's development. His career varies and his wife needs to spend extended periods in a Hive in the capital, she spends as long as she can as part of the families home network, where the MOBDOMs are connected by doorways on the exterior. However, his children now holiday with their grandparents for the Summer giving Alexi a break as he heads towards early retirement.
In the latter phases of his life, Alexi chooses a different lifestyle. He wants to build on his earlier qualifications and financially liberated from mortgage concerns he simply consults by web to his  previous employer and focuses on his interests, teaching watersports to younger people overlooking the White Cliffs from his MOBDOM. He has seen his life in a different way to his father's. No longer solely concerned with the provision of Shelter, Alexi has chosen a more varied life, still caring for his family but without some of the strains on young families as it used to be referred to. His life-long friend slightly less fortunate connects with his own children's MOBDOMs on alternate holidays with his estranged spouse. When it gets too much, he dials for the crane and retreats to a safe distance. His life, whilst never perfect at least satisfies his needs to be a father to his kids.
