Science and art were once part of the same discipline. Science was in the words of Einstein, “I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts; the rest are details.” Until the Renaissance, Art was governed by religion as major works were largely paid for by the Church and in the absence of Governments the celebrities of that time, Aristocracy etc., would pose with their families for self-portraits which were enhanced theologically to address the major issues of their day. At the Renaissance, Art and
Science flourished as the name of the era suggests. Great Scientists were born out of that time including Leonardo Da Vinci, who excelled not only in architecture, art but also in Science. His study of anatomy, (he was accused of heresy at that time for post mortem on corpses) gave rise to the greatest image ever recorded,
the Mona Lisa, the inescapable grin is the product of decades of anatomical research by Leonardo who famously penned the helicopter, a tank and solar power as well as many other inventions and advances. The worlds of Science
