The 2008 'Best of Belron' event is the fifth time that Belron has held a competition to find its best windscreen technician across four continents.
'Best of Belron' showcases the company's commitment to developing the best technicians in the world and highlights the importance that it places on quality, safety and efficiency.
In 2000 Belron held its first-ever competition to find the best windscreen technician in Europe. The event, called Eurofitter, was so successful that a further two competitions were held in 2002 and 2004.
In 2006 it was decided to take the contest to a global level, giving technicians from each of Belron's operating countries across the world an opportunity to compete. Twenty-one competitors represented their country at the event, renamed 'Best of Belron' which was held at Germany's Nurburgring motor racing venue.
This was the first time that insurance and leasing partners and the press were invited to attend.
'Best of Belron' is now a major industry event and this year more than 750 international representatives from the insurance, fleet and lease sectors and across Belron will attend.
The event brings together 25 technicians from around the world all competing for the coveted title.
