With five months to go until Autosport International, the premier networking experience for motorsport professionals, opens its doors to the best representatives of the industry, interest is already high with 2008's worldwide industry visitors attendance set to be exceeded.
With 4,500 overseas trade buyers from 58 different countries in 2008 and every racing category included, the international world of motor racing is well represented, making the show the most diverse motorsport exhibition in the world.
As €460 million of global motorsport business is generated year-on-year from the show, leading industry companies are eager to feature at the Birmingham's NEC. The Autosport International Show covers 11 halls at the National Exhibitions Centre, bringing together experts from performance engineering, aftermarket and historic motorsport amongst many other sectors.
“2009 will mark the show's 19th year,” said Haymarket Exhibitions' Show Director Ian France. “To have successfully maintained a truly international show and created a valuable business experience for visitors over these years is something we are very proud of. However, we are not resting on our laurels. For 2009, we are introducing significant changes, which will give the show a new feel and further improve the experience for our business visitors.”

A brand new layout for the show will see Autosport Engineering, Autosport International's specialist section for technical and engineering suppliers to the motorsport industry, gain extended floor-space within the show, due to visitor demand.
As a key part of the show, Autosport Engineering will once again be showcasing all the latest innovations in the design and performance engineering areas within motorsport, as well as retaining its traditional two-day appearance for trade-only visitors.
A new Trade and Technical Area has also been introduced for 2009 for the many technical suppliers who exhibit at the show. The area, located near the International Business Lounge and the MIA whilst linked to Autosport Engineering, ensures trade professionals are brought closer to the main show's trade and technical exhibitors as well as those situated in Autosport Engineering.
Exhibitors already confirmed for the 2009 show include many of the industry's leading technical suppliers such as AP Racing, creators of the Radi-Cal brake calliper and brake and clutch specialists Alcon. Autosport International's long-standing exhibitor Sadev will also appear at the show in January, with their full range of motorsport transmission products.
